Xen's Picture of the Week

This week's picture comes from the "between a rock and a hard place" category.
It's a photo taken of a single flower growing out of a sheer rock wall overlooking Moxie Falls in Maine. Xen took this shot in "mid-plummet" during his final attempt at winning the Kennebec River Belly Flop Competition. The EMT's thought it was a very nice shot....

Xen's Picture of the Week

This week's picture was taken at a Sandals Resort (Beaches) on the Turks & Caicos Islands. It's the place I want to be. Now. Today. With a frozen drink in my hand at a totally inappropriate time of the day. Floating on one of those rafts.

When it got too hot, you were able to paddle over to that rock structure and drift inside to find shade.

Ahhhh.

Xen's Picture of the Week

This weeks picture is only a cell phone pic, but still not too bad overall. It's a picture of the Garden City Shopping Center in Cranston, RI. The gazebo is the performance place for Summertime music ... and the stores behind are the place for customer fleecing all year round.
OK, Everyone sing ....
Fah who for-aze!
Dah who dor-aze!
Welcome Christmas,
Come this way!

Xen's Weekly Image

This week's picture is one taken a few years back of the Las Vegas strip just after dark.
And of course, as they say, "What happens in Vegas...ummm... happens in Vegas."
Because your friends will tell everybody they know what you did if it was truly outrageous.

Xen's Weekly Image

This is a picture I took of the Irazu Volcano in Cartago, Costa Rica (http://www.govisitcostarica.com/region/city.asp?cid=201) . Though currently dormant, it is Costa Rica's largest volcano. You can drive up and stand on the rim looking down into the crater, which is what this picture shows. The huge concentrations of sulphur are what gives the pool of water it's green color.

Xen's Weekly Image

Here's a picture taken at about 5:00PM on Nov 4th, looking towards the eastern horizon. I think it looks appropriately eerie to be used in a horror movie or murder mystery. Or as a book cover image. Something with one of THOSE titles, like: "And the Moon Watched Her Die ... a Jack Parish Novel" Ha.
